Loved Beyond Measure

Hi! Today’s post is a life update. I have done one since new year’s and thought it’d be fun. I’m so excited for summer right now. I live up north so summer’s very highly anticipated especially from about October-mid-March or even April and May when it’s pretty cold. My summer’s so busy and I’m excited for all of it. A few months ago, my local library asked if I’d like to do an internship for their kids’ summer reading program and that goes till late July, I also have 2 camps I’m going to each for a week. I’ll also be babysitting and going to my monthly youth group. And since the sun’s out I’ve been happier and reading my Bible outside some mornings and laying outside and soaking up the sun. Even though I’ll be busy I’ll still do my best to be consistent on posting since I really do enjoy posting. Happy Summer!

Hi! Today’s post is about discernment. Discernment is knowing what is and isn’t from God. It can be super difficult especially now when sometimes you aren’t totally sure. There are some verses on discernment I found two in psalms and one in Philippians. Psalms 19:12 says “But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults.” And 139 “Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely” Philippians says “so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ” there’s others, but those ones especially stood out. The google definition is “the ability to judge well” if something doesn’t line up with scripture or you just have a weird feeling about it listen to the Holy Spirit. If you can’t really figure it out on your own, ask for help. Aska parent or mentor if you think it may be wrong or unbiblical. And lastly, pray for discernment there’s so many wolves in sheep’s clothes in this world so ask God to help you.

Hi! Today’s post is about body image. This is something every girl has struggled with at one point or another. Society tells us that there’s always something wrong with us, but that’s just not true! God made us in His image, and He doesn’t make mistakes. Where society has really taken a bad turn is saying “I’m beautiful I don’t need to change or take care of my body” that’s NOT healthy for your mental health or your physical health. Nourishing your body and taking care of it is so important not only will you feel better, but studies have shown you mood improves when you exercise, and a good night’s sleep just feels good. Don’t take this too far though working out to the point of exhaustion is never worth it and working out too much can make you lose your period. So, know you’re God’s creation and there’s no flaw in you (Sol 4:7), but take care of yourself.

ABOUT ISABELLA

HI! I'm Isabella. This blog is for teen girls wanting to grow their faith and have a Christian community that knows what they're going through. It's geared towards girls 11-16, but if you know somebody older or younger that could benefit, please tell them about it! I wanted to make this because there's not a ton of Christian blogs for teen girls that want some advice and to know that other girls have the same struggles. It's my hope and prayer that we can connect over some of these topics. We may not all agree on these topics, but I hope that the love of the God will brings us together.

-Isabella

You are altogether beautiful my darling.
There is no flaw in you.
Song of Solomon 4:7

Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew 6:34
