Loved Beyond Measure

Hi! Today’s post is about over thinking. This is a topic especially close to my heart right now because I can be a MAJOR overthinker and it’s not even necessarily things happening right now it’s more future stuff. Like driving and what I want to do for a living which doesn’t really seem to be that far away. My point is we’re going to be going through this together. The first step is realizing you’re an overthinker. This may be a bit harder for the girls who don’t want to admit they are. The second step is finding a way to get all these thoughts out, so they aren’t just rolling around in your brain. This may be a great time to start a journal whether that’s on your phone or one you write in by hand getting it all onto paper has been super helpful for me at least. I’ve also heard prayer walks are a great way to just talk to God you and Him without others interrupting. Also remember: Try to not leave yourself alone with your thoughts. Now don’t take that as “I’m going to make myself burnt out to help me stop overthinking” I just mean keep yourself occupied. We’re in this together. <3

Hi! Today’s post is about happiness and feeling content. I think it’s safe to say everyone’s felt left out of a group or unhappy at least a few times in their lives. But how do you deal with these emotions? I’m going to let you in on a little secret. I’m still figuring it out. But first let’s look at some ways we shouldn’t. Turning to social media or drugs obviously. But that sort sounds cliché it seems like a Sunday-school answer, right? Well, they’re on the right track. Social media can make the problem even worse. Since most people only post the highlights of there lives you never see the bad days. So how can you work through them? Naps. There’s a chance that the problem will be smaller after some sleep. Journaling. Writing out all those emotions can help you process it better. Letting it all out. Sometimes you just need to fall apart before you tackle a problem and there’s nothing wrong with that. Even David, the Psalmist, could be found crying out to God pretty frequently. And if these feelings are around a lot, it may be a good idea to think about Christian counseling. It won’t make you a ‘pyscho’. Love you.

Hi! Today’s topic is productivity. I’m going to be honest with you for a second. I have not been super productive lately. I keep getting sucked in by my phone. But enough about my problems. I’m going to try and help you. We’ll try doing it together. A good place to start: your phone. I would recommend getting rid of most forms of social media, however if you need it to communicate with people this may not be a great first step. My point is any apps that really suck you in. Think Youtube, Instagram, Netflix etc. But as your changing these habits remember that real change takes time so take smaller steps. A great step would be setting a downtime and app limits for apps you spend a lot of time on. You can also keep some apps open like photos and so forth. Send up prayers for strength and self-control to.

ABOUT ISABELLA

HI! I'm Isabella. This blog is for teen girls wanting to grow their faith and have a Christian community that knows what they're going through. It's geared towards girls 11-16, but if you know somebody older or younger that could benefit, please tell them about it! I wanted to make this because there's not a ton of Christian blogs for teen girls that want some advice and to know that other girls have the same struggles. It's my hope and prayer that we can connect over some of these topics. We may not all agree on these topics, but I hope that the love of the God will brings us together.

-Isabella

You are altogether beautiful my darling.
There is no flaw in you.
Song of Solomon 4:7

Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew 6:34
